Stolen Painting

I had my first experience with one of my paintings being stolen a couple of weeks ago.

I was exhibiting at the White County Medical Center,Searcy,Arkansas. Julie and I were exhibiting works for two weeks there and on the day before we were to pick up our paintings, one of mine was stolen. Wow, I was stunned!! The good news was thanks to the Security at the hospital I got the painting back a few weeks later! Frankie ( security at the hospital) found the culpit on video tape and this is why we were able to get it back! Searcy police returned the painting to me a few weeks later.

Below is the painting that was taken! Down by the Creek is a 18x24 acrylic on canvas.

Delta River Event

Julie and I had a lot of fun getting ready for the event! We took most of all the things needed Friday afternoon and sat up our displays. My daughter Traci, came up Friday evening to help me Saturday morning. I really appreciated her support!

My other daughter Mirranda, surprised me by coming also. I didn't know she would be able to come.

There were around fifteen artists presented. It was great seeing all the work of various styles and mediums.

I met new artists and renewed with old friendships....

Julie gave a landscape demo Saturday afternoon... She gave her demo beside my display so I was able to watch and learn.There were two other demos,however I wasn't able to attend.

This is the feast that was catered to us and everyone that arrived at the reception. It was a beautiful affair with candles and nice food!!! Oh yes, for those interested they had an open bar.

By this time I was hungry and couldn't make my mind what I wanted to eat...

Two new Paintings

I have been working on two new paintings . One went to the Beyond Boundries organization and the other to a friend. Courtney asked me about Calla Lilies and this is my rendition in two different perspectives.

WCMC Exhibit

Hello Everyone,

The WCMC Exhibit was a wonderful success! I want to Thank everyone for going to take a look and also thank Sarah Dacus for having us there. �Julie and I were in several newspapers about the exhibit thanks to Sarah! I am working on several new pieces which I will post when I finish. I just finished a painting but didn't get a photo( not good... lol) Sorry I can't show it right now, I will try to get photo before long. Just want you to know what I'm up to.

��Also, Good news the gallery is up and running Thanks to Julie! We are very Happy to be able to show there. Sadly it must be by appointment only due to circumstances we can't avoid.

White County Hospital exhibition

Hello Everyone!�

�� Julie and I are now being exhibited at the White County Hospital.We met several very nice people there. Julie is displaying Landscapes and I am displaying Still life.�

�� I hope everyone that can will stop by and take a look . There are some new pieces that haven't been shown before.

��This exhibit holds special meaning to me because about this time last year my mother was a patient there,we lost her after two weeks. During this time I would look at the art on display and it would take my mind off my worries, just for a moment!�I just pray my artwork will do the same for someone who may be going thru the same circumstances! If not but just for a moment also.�
