Something new is in the Air, Judy and I will be showcasing some new and original artwork shorly. We are working hard to create new items to showcase at the coming art events for the year 2012. Judy has always been so good at marketing that I have finally stopped and paid attention to what she had to say.

Eagle Mountain Art Reception

It is another opportunity to bring art to the seniors at the Eagle Mountain retirement home. Judy and I are blessed to be asked to give a workshop to the new and seasoned artist at Batesville. I am always inspired by the eager enthusiam from the Ladies that participate.I hope you enjoy seeing these photos of the reception.

Judy is studing the application of fur. She said it was something she always wanted to paint and has recently devoted much of her time in painting not one but two large cats, the tiger and now the Snow Leopard, both of which she has given to her granddaughter. The Robins by Julie The Robin's Nest by Judy

Here is the finished paintings by Julie and myself for our dear friend Mrs. Robbins. I hope you enjoy a peek at our joint adventure complimenting each other"s painting! This was the first individual effort that Julie and I decided to do together on this level. We have worked together creating murals several times and instructed lessons but have never worked our compositions around each other before.

We are discussing future plans on joint efforts again soon!

Judy and I were requested to gift a friend one of our paintings. This dear friend has given us precious gifts that she has created herself using her sewing machine. After telling me she doesn't have any paintings from Judy or me, we decided to give her one a piece for her birthday! Her last name is Robins so we are teaming up to paint a Robin and a robin's nest. ( I know this sound a little cheesy)... I will be painting a robin and Judy is in charge of the robin's nest. We will team them together for her gift. Our friend told me she has three children so Judy will place three eggs in the nest. Did you know that robin's eggs are turquoise in color? Yes they are the prettiest blue! I will post the paintings when we finish. I have started the robin and Judy has begin her research on the nests. Together they will make the perfect gift for our friend Mrs. Robins. Working on something New

I am always trying to stretch the limits and I may have stretched it to far..

But this is a new painting using not my paint brush but my computer.

Corel essential has software that makes me feel like I am learning something brand new.

The Twin connection, Combining forces.

My best friend and twin sister Judy Gagner and I have combined forces to create the Arkansas Twin Artist site. I hope you enjoy seeing our site. I realize there may be a few things we will be changing but for now it is up and running. Having a website with someone else could present challenges but having it with my twin sister will make it easier. Afterall she can read my mind. LOL

Aliyah and her mural. Aliyah wanted a nature scene and it started with a bird and two butterflies. She kept adding more animals to her list, we finished with a bird, two butterflies, frog, turtle, squirrel, and a deer.

Judy is wonderful on flowers and as you can see there are a lot of flowers. I myself have taken this opportunity to learn more about painting flowers. At the end of the day the smiles on my granddaughters faces were special rewards for their Nana.

Fruit of the Vine II

I submitted this painting today to the Auction Coordinator from Memphis For the WKNO Art Auction. It will be televised on Chanel 10 of Memphis,Tennessee coming in January. A fund raiser for PBS.

I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the 2010 Art Auction for WKNO Channel 10 to be televised. Anyone interested in seeing the exhibits in Gallery 10 can visit their website www.wkno.org Artworks will be posted Dec 15th for early viewing. The 2010 Art Auction is scheduled for January 30 & 31.

I will be spending more time painting new work getting ready for the second annual Delta Event coming in February. It sounds like plenty of time, but when creating art it isn't much ...
